The Bahamas is a Caribbean blue ocean, white sanded beaches, vacation dream! The Bahamas really has it all.
Through out its 30 habited islands you can be sure to find something that every one will love. From interesting culture, amazing and filling cuisine in romantic settings, numerous interactive marine wildlife, breath taking natural land formations to explore, and of course the most magnificent beaches to laze around in the warm, warm weather
Okay let's be real - when I travel I take hundreds, NO thousands, of pictures. Weekly I have to sit down and sift through my compositions and delete, edit and then back up on my drive because no computer in the history has enough storage for all my shots and clips! And of course there are SO many more places than 10 that are MUST SEES in the Bahamas, but I believe that I have narrowed it down to some really beautiful, instagram worthy, never forget memories!
Bahamas has to be added to your bucket list. I'll prove to you why...
#1 Baha Mar Resort, Nassau, Bahamas
This resort is one for the books. There are two top resorts in Nassau, Baha Mar and Atlantis, and Baha Mar has some really unique characteristics, such as this swimming cave pool! Swimming through a waterfall entrance you find yourself in this cave (man made of course), with few holes allowing sunlight to trickle in. At the back of this cave is an aquarium where you can peer in on swimming tropical fish, nurse sharks, and sea turtles. (It is cool, sure - but don't even get me started on my environmental/conservation thoughts on negative impacts that aquariums have... that's for another blog rant)
#2 Margaritaville Resort, Downtown Nassau, Bahamas

Okay so the main section of this resort is VERY kid friendly. Think Disney pirate themed water park. HOWEVER, meander on up to the third floor and experience this more secluded, quaint but luxurious INFINITY POOL over looking the ocean.
#3 Sandyport Resort, Nassau, Bahamas

Sandyport Resort is the ultimate chill and relax place to be. With multiple hammocks and lounge chairs you can curl up and read a book or lay out to tan while enjoying a beer - EASY. With their pool being just steps away from the inner harbour of the ocean, you can hop back and forth between salty, sea water and crisp, pool water all day!
#4 Compass Cay, Exuma Island, Bahamas
Ever dreamed of swimming in shark infested waters? Maybe not. But with these sharks being the docile nurse shark species, I can confidently say you have to take the plunge. Lay back and relax while these massive mammals circle your floating body under the 30 degree sun.
#5 Baha Mar Beach Resort, Nassau, Bahamas

Baha Mar Resort does just have amazing pools. THEIR BEACH IS CRAZY BEAUTIFUL. They have this beautiful dock that stretches out to anchor multiple beautiful boats and yachts. They have thousands of comfortable lounge chairs and cabanas to choose from. AND water floaties anchored out from the beach to get that perfect vacation tan without burning your skin off!
#6 Rosewood Resort, Nassau, Bahamas

Rosewood is a more luxury, high end part of the Baha Mar Resort. It is a relaxing, therapeutic atmosphere, with white accents carrying through out the entire resort and piano instrumentals playing 24/7. Not to mention FULL SERVICE to those laying out on the cabanas or lounge chairs.
#7 Love Beach, Nassau, Bahamas

This is pretty unknown beach and I can almost guarantee that you will have the beach, dock and all other facilities almost entirely to yourself (however, we are travelling during the off season). This beach is known to the Nirvana Beach Bar (super funky) and the Love Beach resort (pools + restaurant).
#8 Pipe Cay Sandbar, Exumas, Bahamas

Time your visit to the Pipe Cays with low tides and you will come across the beautiful, long sand bars that emerge from the depths of the ocean. Lay out on the beach with ocean waves lapping up at you from every direction.
#9 Guana Cay, Exumas, Bahamas

Visit the Guana Cays and be greeted by hundreds of the friendly, endangered iguanas, surrounded by lush vegetation and incredible land formations like the ones you see in this photo.
#10 The Boiling Hole, Grand Bahamas

Snorkel, swim and relax is this blue hole, along with friends such as stingrays, nurse sharks, crabs and conch!
What did you think? Did any of those make it onto your bucket list? Let me know down in the comment section!
I know these past two years have just been so frustrating at times, switching up our routines, shoving us in isolation, segregating ourselves from the rest of the world but even worse our friends and family.
But it is 2021 now, ALMOST 2022 - what the heck, how did that happen so fast.
BUT THINGS ARE LOOKING UP, FOLKS!
Don't give up. Keep fighting for you day to day happiness, don't let your dreams and desires to be put on the back burner. If you desire to get up a travel because your little explorative heart has been cooped up for just too darn long...
TAKE THIS AS A SIGN.
It is your time. It is your time to pack your bags, and hop into one of these 10 photos. It is time for you to explore.
